Does Phoney Baloney's Coconut Bacon need to be refrigerated or frozen?
No. In fact, we highly recommend that you do not refrigerate or freeze your Coconut Bacon. Either will lead to deteriorated taste and texture.

What is the shelf life of Phoney Baloney's Coconut Bacon?
We have tested the shelf life of our Coconut Bacon up to 7 months with no problems. However, since we do not use any preservatives, we recommend using within two weeks of opening for best taste and texture.

Is the soy used in Coconut Bacon genetically modified?
No. We only use certified organic tamari in our Coconut Bacon, which by USDA definition is 100% non-GMO.

Why grapeseed oil?
Grapeseed oil is the byproduct of wine making, and therefore requires nothing extra to be grown in order to create it. Phoney Baloney's strives to be as sustainable as possible and using a byproduct oil like grapeseed is just one effort we make to help our environment.

Is Phoney Baloney's Coconut Bacon certified gluten free?
Yes! As of September 1, 2013 we are certified Gluten Free by the GFCO, the world's leading gluten free certification organization. We test every batch of our Coconut Bacon to ensure it contains less that 10ppm in accordance with GFCO standards.

What is the best way to use Phoney Baloney's Coconut Bacon? Any tips?
In general, our Coconut Bacon is best used as a topping. Try it on salads, sandwiches, baked potatoes, pizza and even ice cream! The crispy texture of the Coconut Bacon does not hold up well in extreme heat or moisture. When baking with our Coconut Bacon, do not mix in batters. Rather, top cookies, cakes and more in the last minute of baking. This is enough time for it to incorporate without burning.
